Quality and Selling Features

Solid oak drawer construction with English dovetail joinery front and rear.

Solid wood door barings on all glass doors – each pane of glass is individually hand cut, glazed and puttied into the door, rather than a solid piece of glass with a wooden grill over the face.

All brass hardware and accents are solid brass and caste using the lost-wax method in our own foundry.

All marquetry, inlays, banding and stringing are cut and laid up by hand.

There are no paints, stamps or decals.

Genuine leather is used on all game tables and desk tops and hand tooled in gold or blind tooling.

All items are crafted and veneered in an air conditioned and humidity controlled environment to reduce movement. Since implementing this process we have experienced almost no movement.

A 7-ply veneer construction process is used and a dry glue film system is used to keep moisture out, further reducing the possibility of checking and/or crazing.

Hand distressing, colouring, finishing, waxing and polishing give each item an antique patina. Wire wool is used to insure a consistent sheen level and authentic feel.

Units including lights feature a three way touch system and are activated by touching the upper right hand hinge.

Reeded wooden fronts complete the decorative edge on our glass shelves.

Adjustable shelves are secured in place with brass shelf clips and rubber grommets.

Holes are brass lined to provide a secure fit for years to come. This brass lining prevents the enlarging of holes from weight and years of use.

The country collection is made of solid alder and other hardwoods.

Each item is hand finished and is available in three finishes.

The simple lines of this classic country collection are further enhanced by the natural antiqued look of traditional hand planed and hand pegged construction.
